Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center (Dallas area) seeks a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to support invasive cardiovascular procedures under physician supervision. You will interpret basic and advanced dysrhythmia, monitor patient status, and assist with imaging equipment in the cath lab.

Requirements include an Associate or Bachelor's degree in science or related healthcare experience, current AHA ACLS, RCIS within six months of hire, and ARRT/TX RT(R) as alternatives.

Qualifications

• Current AHA Advanced Cardio Life Support certification required.
• RCIS certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) acceptable in lieu of RCIS.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assists physician as monitor tech during cath lab procedures, interpreting EKGs and pressures.
• Operates imaging equipment under physician direction and assists as scrub tech.
• Monitors patient status and assists with transport to/from department.
• Preps lab for procedures, maintains sterile technique and inventory.
