Job summary

Wayne Memorial Hospital Honesdale, PA seeks an experienced tech to provide technical support during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. This per diem role includes scrub duties, hemodynamic monitoring, and post-procedure patient care, following established protocols.

The ideal candidate offers ARRT certification, 2–3 years lab experience with cardiac cath procedures, and RCIS certification is preferred with readiness to obtain within 24 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of radiologic technology.
• Certification as an ARRT; RCIS preferred; must obtain within 24 months of employment; 2-3 years clinical experience in diagnostic/interventional cardiac cath lab preferred.
• Demonstrates clinical competence in basic cardiac physiology/pathology, 12-Lead EKG interpretation; physiologic monitoring (intra cardiac pressure waveform knowledge), pacemaker operations and other radiographic equipment related to cardiac care.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, provides technical support and assistance to the physician during diagnostic and invasive cardiovascular and peripheral vascular procedures.
• Performs scrub and hemodynamic monitoring with cardiac catheterizations, vascular and interventional radiology procedures using clinical knowledge, technical skills and professional judgment in accordance with professional and departmental standards as protocols.
• Provides care assessment prior, during, and post procedural instruction to patients.
• Prepares and maintains all pertinent information related to procedures.
