Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Cath Lab Tech) in Austin. You will support physicians during catheterization and electrophysiology procedures, prepare rooms and equipment, monitor patients, and assist with daily quality initiatives in a growing cardiac program.

The role requires handling arteriograms, device implantations, and maintaining sterile fields, with emphasis on patient safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field or military training with equivalent experience.
• Must be available for On Call response per facility/department policy.
• Knowledge and ability to apply complex invasive cardiac and vascular values, instrumentation and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Helps Physicians with arteriograms/catheterizations and device implantations.
• Follows radiation safety regulations and provides emergency procedures.
• Performs pre and post-procedure care and monitoring.
• Orients patients for procedures.
• Records and reports procedural data and maintains sterile fields.
• Coordinates and audits resources during inventories and ensures equipment is stocked.
• Transports patients to/from procedural area and demonstrates good customer service.

Education

Associate's degree in a related field

Completion of US military training program and experience equivalent to an Associate's degree

2 years of related cardiovascular lab experience
