Job Responsibilities

The Angiography Technologist will assist the physician during cardiac or peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures, pacemakers, and ICDs. They must perform radiographic work on various types of radiographic equipment to ensure all work is completed competently, timely, and efficiently. They will assist with patient care and safety in the Cardiac Cath or EP lab environment.

This is a highly stressful, busy patient care area. Exposure to x-ray and blood-borne pathogens may occur during cardiac catheterization procedures. Long periods of standing are required, often with the use of lead aprons.

The Technologist will be responsible for rotating call for emergency procedures with a 30-minute response time if employed in the Cardiac Cath Lab.

Job Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Radiology Program
• Current certification with ARRT in diagnostic radiology
• Possesses a current license as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of Ohio
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification required within six months of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year recent hospital angiographic interventional experience
