Job summary
Children's Health in Dallas, TX seeks an Anesthesia Technician to coordinate equipment and supplies for the Cardiology Cath Lab, assisting in integrating surgical and anesthesia gear for efficient operations.
Requires 1 year of related experience and a high school diploma; shift 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, onsite in a collaborative pediatric setting. The role includes patient prep support and adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year vocational/technical schooling or related experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support certification required; PALS preferred.
Responsibilities
- Verify equipment functioning and arrange supplies for licensed staff.
- Coordinate anesthesia needs and assist with prep for general or regional anesthesia.
- Transport medications from pharmacy/Omnicell to operating room as directed by anesthesia provider.
- Assist with team coordination during coverage and calls.
- Participate in new product evaluation and orient new anesthesia technicians.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
