Job Summary And Qualifications

Responsible for patient food service on assigned units, menu selections, tray assembly, tray delivery, and pick up, special requests and needs,and in-between meal food delivery. Exhibits a friendly, caring attitude to patients while introducing the Catering to You program while takingmenu selections, delivering trays, and inquiring during catering rounds and retrieving trays.

• Utilizesappropriate portioncontrol.
• Write and prepare snack nourishment for patient residents.
• Communicate to theDietitianspecial needs or request of patients,residentsand staff.
• Ensures that the correct diet is prepared for the patient by physician’s orders.
• Speak menu to all patients except those receiving a clear liquid, full liquid or pureed diet.
• Communicate patient needs to appropriate staff while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Keeps clean work area and equipment.
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation rules and regulations.
• Cart ismaintainedin a neat and orderly manner, free of excessive supply items. C art is restocked at the end of the assigned shift. Janitor closet ismaintainedin a neat and orderly manner, free of excessive supply items.
• Assists indishroom with dishwashing and storage of clean dishes

What qualifications you will need:
