University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Catering Student Assistant to support setup and service for indoor gatherings and outdoor events on the UT campus.
You will assist with equipment, decor, and food service, ensuring high standards of customer care and adherence to safety policies. This role offers 25 hours weekly and a pathway to gain experience in campus catering operations.

Purpose The Catering Student Assistant will deliver high-quality food and beverage service for indoor gatherings and large outdoor events. This position will assist in the setup for banquets and large indoor and outdoor events including movement, placement, and return of equipment, decor, plates and glassware, lighting and other equipment, and maintain organization in all catering storage locations. They will ensure a high standard of excellence.
$13.00 per hour
Tasks involve climbing stairs, bending, stooping, kneeling and lifting up to 50 pounds. You will be trained in and expected to use safe lifting and transport techniques.
Light Grey or Dark Grey Forty Acres Polo. Button up or zip up sweaters may be worn as long as your polo remains visible. Hoodies may not be worn on the floor. Black long sleeve shirts may be worn under your polo. All black pants. Pants must be trousers or dress pants. Pants not allowed include leggings, yoga pants, jeans, cargos or sweats. “Dickies” or other pants this style are allowed. All black shoes. Shoes with logos visible are allowed as long as they are black. Sneakers are allowed as long as they are all black. No resume required.
