Job Description

The Catering Service Worker Lead is responsible for supervising and supporting the planning of catering events of varying sizes and levels in both central and satellite locations. Ensures consistent achievement of all catering brand standards and initiatives.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Develops and maintains a safety culture that promotes a work environment where no one gets hurt. Supervises catering operations, including staff coordination, rental equipment, setup, preparation, service, and breakdown of catered foods, beverages, and events of varying size and complexity.

  2. Books events, selects and costs menu items, and handles pricing as needed.

  3. Assists with hiring, discipline, and performance evaluations.

  4. Coordinates activities with other internal departments, participates in management team meetings, and interfaces with vendors and key service users within the client organization.

  5. Facilitates external customer relations; represents Aramark and the client at meetings and events.

  6. Ensures sanitation, organization, and safety standards are met through checklists, supervision, and follow-up.

  7. Participates in all catering training programs and helps develop and implement training for hourly, part-time, and student employees.

  8. Supports the implementation and adherence to all Aramark OpX Catering initiatives and guidelines.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years operational experience in a hotel/banquet setting required.

  • Prior experience with booking events preferred.

This role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
