Job description

The Catering Service Worker Lead is responsible for supervision and support in planning catering events of varying sizes and levels in both central and satellite locations. Ensures that all catering brand standards and initiatives are consistently achieved.

COMPENSATION: The hourly rate for this position is $18.00 to $20.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Develops and is accountable for a safety culture that creates a work environment where no one gets hurt.
  2. Directly supervises catering operations including coordination of staff and rental equipment, set-up, preparation, service, and breakdown of catered foods, beverages, and events of varying size and complexity.
  3. Books events, selects and costs menu items, and prices as needed.
  4. Assists with hiring, discipline, and performance reviews.
  5. Coordinates activities with other internal departments and participates in management team meetings.
  6. Interfaces with vendors and key service users within the client organization.
  7. Facilitates external customer relations; represents Aramark and the client at meetings and events.
  8. Ensures appropriate sanitation, organization, and safety standards are met through checklists, hands-on supervision, and follow-up.
  9. Participates in all catering training programs; helps to develop and implement training programs for hourly, part-time, and student employees.
  10. Aids in implementation and adherence to all Aramark OpX Catering initiatives and guidelines.
  11. Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum of two years operational experience in a hotel/banquet setting required.
  2. Prior experience with booking of events preferred.
  3. This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
