Overview

Come #MakeTracks at The Eddy Taproom & Hotel in Golden! The Catering Sales manager will consistently strive to maximize revenue and promote relationships through effective negotiation of services and prices in the Hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Will target and win over business via outside sales calls, hosting site inspections, planner meetings, cold calling, emailing, networking, and attending industry association events, etc.

Must love weddings.

This position reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing and is on-site Tuesday-Saturday.

Responsibilities

Sales and Client Relations:

  • Identify potential clients and develop relationships with wedding planners, event planners, and individuals seeking catering services.
  • Respond to inquiries and requests for proposals (RFPs) in a timely and professional manner.
  • Sell social rooms only blocks and handle all social catering
  • Conduct site tours and meetings with clients to showcase facilities and discuss event requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to secure business.
  • Attend several wedding shows throughout the year
  • Conduct weekly outside calls & prospect for new business including cold calls
  • Entertain customers in hotel Taproom as necessary

Event Planning and Coordination:

  • This position is heavy weddings focused. Book a wedding event from start to finish.*Manage the day-to-day administration of weddings and their associated room blocks including preparation of Banquet Event Orders & Group Resumes and final accounts. *Mandatory to be on-site for wedding day
  • Collaborate with clients to plan and customize catering menus, beverage options, and event details.
  • Check event space to ensure room set ups are proper & timely
  • Work closely with Conference Services and Banquet Captain

Revenue Generation:

  • Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals for the catering department.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth including new catering promotions
  • Continuously monitor market trends and competitors to identify new opportunities.
  • Attend departmental and hotel meetings

Administrative Tasks:

  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, contracts, and event details.
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials and promotional campaigns to attract clients.
  • Trace all activities in Delphi

Customer Service:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients throughout the event planning process.
  • Handle client feedback and resolve any issues or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain good relationships with counterparts at competing hotels and promote The Eddy Taproom & Hotel and CoralTree Hospitality properties whenever possible
Qualifications
  • Entertain prospective clients and give tours of event space, outlets, and guest rooms.
  • Keep updated on current sales trends within the market and the competitive set.
  • Represent the Hotel in trade shows, industry organizations, and community events.
  • Attend all required meetings within the Hotel.
  • 1-3 years in hospitality sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include events, weekends and holidays
  • Candidate who thrives in an independent hotel environment.
  • Creative talent.
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Connections in the local market is a plus.

Physical Requirements – must be able to exert physical effort and actively move around the building to assist guest and manage staff

  • Must be able to sit at a desk, this position requires bending and stooping, physically able to provide in person tours of the property while walking the grounds. Must be able to communicate professionally over the phone in person and via email. While working events must be able to lift up to 20lbs.etc.

Salary: $60K
