Job Summary

The Catering Operations Manager oversees the successful execution and coordination of on and off-premise events, requiring excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to multitask and manage client relationships effectively.

Key Responsibilities

1. Consult with clients on scope, expectations, menus, and budgets.
2. Plan menus with clients and chefs.
3. Negotiate vendor contracts.
4. Coordinate event execution with the Event Manager.
5. Recruit, train, and lead staff.
6. Organize staff and event schedules.
7. Maintain financial and administrative records.
8. Coordinate with sales, chefs, staff, vendors, and clients.
9. Ensure contract requirements are met and assess event quality.
10. Resolve customer concerns and ensure timely payments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Leadership experience managing people and events.
• Strong organizational and team motivation skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Experience with budgeting, P&L, and sales forecasting.
• Negotiation skills and credibility with culinary professionals.
• HR experience including hiring and training.
• 3-5 years in hospitality management, preferably in off-premise catering.
