We are seeking a Catering Manager to plan and execute corporate and social events at our beautiful property. Due to a recent promotion, this role offers a chance to be part of a renowned team dedicated to delivering exceptional event experiences.
What will I be doing?
As Catering Manager at The Palmer House, you will be responsible for the successful execution of written sales agreements for corporate and social events with up to 250 guests.
- Maintain liaison between customers and hotel representatives, directing each hotel department regarding their specific roles in pre-planning and executing on-site social events.
- Maximize revenues and control expenses through effective negotiation of prices, services, and accurate forecasting.
- Ensure successful event execution and customer satisfaction to foster customer loyalty and encourage future bookings.
- Direct and supervise meeting and catering logistics with catering and event services managers and other involved departments and team members.
- Provide guidance to Operations Managers to ensure events are executed as planned.
- Creatively design menus and events to maximize revenue and enhance the event experience.
- Prepare and present catering forecasts and reports as required by the Director of Catering.
- Coordinate with the Director of Catering in the planning and execution of corporate, wedding, and social events at the hotel for 2-250 guests.
What are we looking for:
- At least 1 year of catering and event experience.
- Flexible scheduling based on group business is required.
- Wedding experience and knowledge of Kosher or Southeast Asian cuisine are preferred.
Pay Rate: $28.84 per hour (based on experience and location)
