Chartwells Higher Education, part of Compass Group USA, is seeking a dynamic Catering Manager for Baylor University's premiere catering department. You will lead catering events, design menus with the Executive Chef, and ensure exceptional service across on-campus and VIP events, from lunch services to Presidential occasions.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong budgeting and cost-control skills, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• 2 years of food service experience including 1 year at management level.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
• Catering experience is required.
• Knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
• Financial, budgeting, accounting, and computational skills.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the internet.

Responsibilities

• Lead all catering events.
• Expert in catering events operations, including logistics, quality improvement, sanitation, and all facility-related activities.
• Works with the Chef in creating catering menus.
• Trains catering associates in service techniques, menu presentation, and customer service.
• Tracks and monitors the labor and food cost for each event.
• Maintains excellent client relationships.
• Assists in the responsibility for all foodservice-related activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Chartwells Higher Education is seeking an energetic and growth-minded Catering Manager for our premiere catering department at BAYLOR UNIVERSITY. Our Catering Manager will be responsible for developing and driving catering solutions to meet our customer needs, while working closely with the Executive Chef on menu development. Events encompass a diverse spectrum, spanning from lunch services to exclusive VIP dining occasions to Presidential events, hosted both on-campus and off-campus.
