Panera Catering Lead in Mount Vernon, IL is seeking a hands-on leader to manage catering orders and deliver craveable Panera experiences for events. You will respond to inquiries, coordinate details, and ensure timely, accurate food delivery with friendly service.

This role requires a vehicle for deliveries, flexible hours including nights and weekends, and strict adherence to health and food safety standards while motivating a positive team atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• Food safety understanding and training (Food Handler's Card where required).
• Excellent people skills and clear communication.
• Self-starter with limited supervision.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Must have a vehicle for delivering orders and a valid driving record.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lb and stand/walk up to 3 hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage and produce catering orders for guests.
• Create memorable experiences with warm, friendly service and proactive follow-ups.
• Assist with delivering orders to events.
• Strictly adhere to health and food safety standards.
• Maintain Panera's standards for craveable food quality.
• Promote Panera Catering to local businesses, schools, and events.
• Support Managers and Team Members as needed.
• Help foster a culture of warmth, belonging, growth and trust.
