Job summary

12Th Street Catering is seeking a Utility Worker for catering events in Philadelphia. You will assist with setup, maintenance, and cleanup, ensuring events run smoothly and guests have a positive experience.

Responsibilities include helping with food and beverage stations, maintaining cleanliness, and following health and safety standards. The role requires a detail-oriented, flexible individual capable of standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or hospitality is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Event Setup and Breakdown: Assist in the setup and teardown of tables, chairs, linens, and other event-related equipment.
• Event Setup and Breakdown: Ensure all areas are properly arranged according to event specifications.
• Event Setup and Breakdown: Help with the setup of food and beverage stations, including buffet lines, bars, and serving areas.
• Food and Beverage Assistance: Support catering staff in delivering food and beverages to serving areas.
• Food and Beverage Assistance: Replenish food and beverage stations as needed throughout the event.
• Food and Beverage Assistance: Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of all serving areas during the event.
• Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness in all areas, including the kitchen, prep areas, and event spaces.
• Cleaning and Maintenance: Collect and dispose of trash, recyclables, and compostable materials during and after events.
• Cleaning and Maintenance: Wash dishes, glassware, and utensils as needed.
• Cleaning and Maintenance: Assist in maintaining equipment, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
• Customer Service: Provide friendly and professional service to guests, addressing any questions or concerns.
• Customer Service: Assist with special requests from guests, ensuring their needs are met promptly.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards.
