Job summary

Compass Group USA, operating Bon Appétit units, is hiring a Catering & Events Shift Supervisor for on-campus locations in Indianapolis. This role oversees shift activities, training, and scheduling to meet policy standards, with opportunities to mentor staff and drive event success.

• We are hiring immediately for full and part time CATERING & EVENTS SHIFT SUPERVISORpositions.
• Location: Butler University - 704 West Hampton Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46208. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full and part time; Days and hours may vary. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Previous catering and banquet service leadership is required. Must have proficient knowledge of the bar industry and an active IATC license.

• Pay Range: $23.50 per hour to$28.00 per hour.

Summary: Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained.

• Responsible for providing training and creating work schedules.
• Evaluating the performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure their unit meets the expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
• Acts as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
