Base pay range

$75,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

Company Description

Tso Chinese Takeout & Delivery is an Austin-based modern take on the traditional Chinese restaurant and food delivery industry. We operate as a technology-driven, handling all customer orders through a custom e-commerce platform that connects seamlessly with our kitchen and delivery systems. We prioritize fresh food, prepared from scratch upon order, and uniquely, we do not accept tips—our staff receive living wages. Tso's bespoke software platform supports scalable, multi-location operations and adjusts to changing menus effortlessly.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Austin, TX, for a Catering Director. The Catering Director will oversee catering and event sales, direct and third party client and vendor relationships. The large majority of catering events are drop-off service. We do not offer full service catering.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the catering vendors and clients
  • Developing and implementing catering sales strategies
  • Ensuring the logistics of catering events
  • Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
  • Negotiating contracts
  • Coordinating with clients to meet their event needs

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 Years Catering management experience
  • Must have an existing book of clients of at least $1M in potential annual revenue
  • Proven Sales skills
  • Excellent organizational and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work on-site in Austin, TX
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred
  • Experience in technology-driven hospitality environments is a plus
  • Flexible Schedule which may include occasional weekend events

Compensation

  • Base Salary + Commission + Bonus
  • Commission: TBD - Percentage of sales above a minimum threshold
  • Bonus: TBD - For meeting stretch goals
  • Health + Dental + Vision: 100% Covered by Tso
