Job Summary

To support our growth we’re looking for a Catering Events Manager to join our awesome team!

The Catering Events Manager is responsible for the service and experience of the event. You will oversee the execution of event and operational tasks including culinary and hospitality excellence, employee and food safety. This position reports into the Catering Director and will leverage their strong communication, hospitality and event planning skills to partner with key stakeholders (our client, culinary, marketing, event concept development, procurement, risk management, operations and people approach) to promote client expectations and enhance user experience.

The great things you will do:

1. Manage workplace and food safety, including allergen management
2. Design, manage and own the overall experience, not just the offerings
3. Ensure that all daily catering orders are processed and fulfilled to our partner and sector expectations
4. Develop specialty menus and events per clients' needs, budget and unit guidelines
5. Train, develop and schedule catering associates and be actively involved in the development of existing associates in service techniques, menu presentation, merchandising, policies and procedures
6. Conduct all employee reviews, coaching sessions, and disciplinary actions in a professional and timely manner

What we look for in a candidate:

1. Ability to drive and enhance a culture of Food and Workplace Safety
2. Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience
3. Minimum of 3-5 years similar work experience
4. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
5. Proficient in computer and technical skills, working knowledge of Google Suite tools, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
6. Managing in a Union Environment is a plus
7. ServSafe Certification
