Tap Room Rockville Centre is looking for a Catering & Events Captain to lead the charge for our private events and celebrations.

What you'll do As our Catering & Event Captain, you will be the on-site point person for all catered events. You will oversee the flow and timeline of the party, communicate with the host, lead the catering team, and ensure everything runs according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO).
Pre-Event
• Review the BEO in advance and align with the kitchen and bar teams
• Ensure the event space is properly set with all required equipment and supplies
• Greet the host and confirm the timeline
During the Event
• Lead the team and maintain a high standard of service
• Oversee pacing of food and drinks
• Handle unexpected issues calmly and professionally
• Communicate consistently with the host
Post-Event
• Confirm final headcount and facilitate payment with the MOD• Ensure the event space is cleaned and reset per company standards
• Debrief the MOD with feedback before clocking out
What We’ll Need From You • Must have at least 1 year prior catering experience
• Strong communication, time management, and leadership skills
• Punctual, personable, and efficient under pressure
