Job summary

DO & CO group in New York invites an experienced Catering Cook to join our team. You will prepare and cook items per recipes, lead by example at multiple stations, and ensure every dish meets our quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

We offer daily meals, full-time benefits, and opportunities within our luxury global gourmet entertainment network. Pay range $22.29–$28.50 hourly, with health and retirement benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of kitchen experience, preferably with large production volume.
• Knowledge of ingredients, measuring techniques, mixing methods, kitchen equipment, and cooking times.
• Full-time cook who is energetic, hard-working, organized, and familiar with working in a fast-paced environment.
• Certificate in culinary arts, or relevant field a plus.
• Must have flexibility to work various shifts according to business needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook items according to specification/recipe.
• Ensure that all dishes served meet the DO & CO standard.
• Lead by example, preparing and cooking dishes.
• Monitor wastage and complete assigned tasks on multiple stations within the given time to meet strict deadlines.
• Maintain work areas clean and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook.
• Report problems with the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety team.
