WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

• Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks.
• Cook food in a timely manner
• Ensure appealing presentation
• Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
• Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
• Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
• Create prep lists

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

• Required: Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook
• Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment
• Knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques
• Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
• Excellent time management abilities
• Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
• Familiarity with sanitation regulations and have Food Handers Card
• Taking charge of kitchen opening, closing and other side duties as directed
• This position will/may require travel to various venues in the Northern California region and is therefore considered a 'regional' role with no singular job site
• Time Management Skills: Attention to detail. The ability to work under extreme pressure. The ability to communicate in a fast-moving environment. The ability to take direction and work independently with those directions
