• We are hiring immediately for a seasonal CATERING CAPTAIN position.
• Location: Union Square Events - 267 Union Avenue, Saratoga, NY 12866 Note: online applications accepted only.

Job Summary

Summary: Coordinates catering staff schedules to ensure timely delivery, serving, and clearing of functions. Prepares and serves food under supervision. May drive a truck for food and beverage delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Determine workload requirements from catering orders.
• Meet with function leaders to discuss setup; address last-minute changes and resolve issues.
• Interact with customers and resolve complaints professionally.
• Understand menu items thoroughly.
• Instruct staff on work expectations for functions.
• Help set up rooms as needed.
• Assemble and deliver food and supplies.
• Serve food and beverages to guests.
• Return equipment and supplies to the catering facility.
• Maintain presentation, portion control, and temperatures following HACCP standards.
• Keep equipment and supplies clean and organized.
• Follow recipes and standards for food preparation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A valid driver's license may be required.
• Must obtain or possess a food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit as required by law.
