Bon Appetit Management Company is hiring a full-time Catering Captain at University of Alabama Athletics in Tuscaloosa, AL. The role coordinates catering staff schedules, prepares and serves food at functions, and may drive a delivery truck. Open availability is required and prior catering supervision is preferred.

The position offers great benefits, paid training, and a company uniform and shoes. A valid driver's license and food handler/alcohol permits where required by state law may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Determine workload requirements from catering orders.
• Meet with function group leaders to discuss setup arrangements and changes.
• Interact with customers and resolve complaints.
• Demonstrates understanding of menu items.
• Instruct staff on work expectations for catered functions.
• Help staff set up rooms to desired specifications.
• Assemble and deliver food and supplies to scheduled locations.
• Serve food and beverages to guests.
• Return food, beverages, serving equipment and utensils to the catering facility.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control and serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards.
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies and utensils.
• Ensure proper food preparation by following approved recipes and production standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Coordinates catering staff schedules to ensure all functions are delivered, served and cleared in a timely fashion. Prepares and serves food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the Catering Director. May drive a truck to deliver food and beverages to catered functions.

Qualifications
