We are hiring immediately for a full-time Catering Captain position.

Location: Kiewit Headquarters - 1450 Mike Fahey Street, Omaha, NE 68102. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time; days may vary, from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Prior catering experience is required.

Pay Range: $20.00 to $26.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Coordinates catering staff schedules to ensure timely delivery, serving, and clearing of functions. Prepares and serves food under supervision. May drive a truck for deliveries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Determine workload from catering orders.
• Meet with function leaders to discuss setup and resolve last-minute issues.
• Interact with customers and resolve complaints.
• Understand menu items thoroughly.
• Instruct staff on work expectations.
• Help set up rooms as required.
• Assemble and deliver food and supplies.
• Serve food and beverages.
• Return equipment and supplies.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and temperatures following HACCP standards.
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness.
• Follow approved recipes and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A valid driver's license may be required.
• Must obtain or possess a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol server's permit if required by law.
