Job Details

• We are hiring immediately for a full-time CATERING CAPTAIN position.
• Location: Texas Children's Hospital - 6621 Fannin St, Houston, TX 77030 (online applications accepted only)
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, hours may vary. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: At least 3 years of catering experience.
• Pay Range: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour

Job Summary

Coordinates catering staff schedules, ensures timely delivery and service of functions, prepares and serves food, and may drive delivery trucks.

Essential Duties

1. Determine workload from catering orders.
2. Meet with function leaders for setup and problem resolution.
3. Interact with customers and handle complaints.
4. Understand menu items thoroughly.
5. Instruct staff on work expectations.
6. Assist in setting up rooms.
7. Deliver food and supplies.
8. Serve food and beverages.
9. Return equipment and maintain standards.
10. Follow HACCP standards and ensure proper food prep.
11. Maintain sanitation and equipment.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license may be required.
• Obtain or possess a food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit as required by law.
