Job Summary

Summary: Takes food and beverage orders and efficiently delivers items to dining room guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Promptly and warmly greet guests; take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service.
2. Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards; follow up to assist with additional needs or requests.
3. Demonstrate understanding of menu items and ingredients; advise guests on food and drink pairings; accommodate requests; demonstrate knowledge of dietary restrictions and allergens.
4. Communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests are met.
5. Exhibit excellent communication skills; work well with others; remain flexible and patient with guests and staff.
6. Maintain a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
7. Handle sensitive and confidential personal or medical information appropriately.
8. Address complaints or issues promptly; relay relevant information to supervisors.
9. Ensure proper setup and cleanup of the dining area, maintaining sanitation standards.
10. Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, and coffee machines.
11. Collaborate with other departments during special events and functions.
12. Perform additional duties as assigned.
