Job Summary

Responsible for patient food service on assigned units, including menu selection, tray assembly, delivery, and special requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Communicate with nursing, dieticians, and personnel to ensure excellent patient service.
2. Introduce the "Catering to You" program to new patients using scripted methods.
3. Assist patients with menu selections, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
4. Assemble and retrieve trays from patients' rooms according to menus.
5. Comply with federal, state, and JCAHO standards.
6. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA policies.
7. Follow HACCP guidelines for food handling and cleaning.
8. Follow infection control policies.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.
