Join Northwestern Memorial Hospital as a Catering Associate - Food Service Department, Part-time, Evenings.

Position Details:

• Part-time, 24 hours/week
• Evening Shift: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM or 2:30 PM – 8:30 PM (includes weekends and holidays)
• Location: Feinberg/Galter; FL BS
• Union Hourly Rate: $20.15 + $0.97 shift differential (non-negotiable); eligible for overtime

The Catering Associate supports patient meal service, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and safe food handling. Responsibilities include assisting with patient menu selection, tray assembly, delivery, and retrieval, and maintaining high service standards to enhance patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities include:

• Following policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Reading and understanding patient menus and dietary restrictions
• Assembling and delivering trays accurately and courteously
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment
• Supporting infection control and safety protocols
• Documenting and managing floor stock and temperatures
• Participating in training, meetings, and team support activities

Qualifications:

• Required: Two years of service experience, good communication skills, positive attitude, completion of Catering to You Training modules
• Preferred: High School diploma or GED, Food Handling Certification (City of Chicago)
