Responsibilities

As Catering and Events Manager, you will be responsible for negotiating business through proposals and contracts to close deals. You will creatively design menus and events to maximize revenue and enhance the event experience. Maintaining relationships with corporate and social accounts, you will coordinate with sales, hotel departments, and clients to ensure high-level service throughout all phases of events. Your role includes ensuring seamless transitions from sales to service and back, upselling opportunities, and serving as the primary contact for event planners.

Key Tasks
  1. Organize, plan, and prioritize duties with clear goals.
  2. Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams via various channels.
  3. Build and maintain client relationships, managing expectations.
  4. Demonstrate knowledge of hotel systems, products, and processes.
  5. Resolve conflicts and negotiate effectively.
  6. Influence clients and internal teams positively.
  7. Make informed decisions and solve problems efficiently.
  8. Ensure high-quality service by guiding and coaching staff.
  9. Participate in site inspections and support the sales process.
  10. Perform other duties as needed based on business requirements.
  11. Maintain regular attendance.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of hotel sales management experience.
  • Knowledge of Delphi.fdc property management system is advantageous.
  • Relevant degree in business development or related field; certifications like CMP or CPCE are a plus.
