Job description

Job Summary/Basic Function

Assist with set up, execution, and clean-up of catered events.


Essential Functions:
  • Organizational Skills
  • Follow Directions
  • Serve food to event patrons
  • Load/Unload catering trucks
  • Work required events/shifts as specified
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old and hold a current RAMP or TIPS certification
  • Verify identification and age requirements
  • Prepare and responsibly serve alcoholic beverages including traditional mixed cocktails, wine bottle service, and champagne service
  • Bar set up/tear-down/inventory and proper storage of beer, wine, and liquor

Marginal Functions:
  • Occasionally work independently
  • Proactively anticipate items needed for various functions

Equipment Used:
  • Other food service equipment, utensils, and dishes

Preferred Qualifications

Must be 16 years old. Some high school education preferred.

A valid Driver's License is required. Employees (operators) must have been in possession of a valid operator’s license for not less than three (3) years and the license must have been in good standing without interruption during that time period.

Successful candidate will also be required to complete ACT 153 Clearance.


Physical Demands

Lifting up to 50lbs, walking, carrying, sometimes over uneven surfaces or up/down stairs, food handling, prolonged standing, bending, climbing in/out of trucks.


Work Schedule

Hours will be assigned as functions are received. You can pick up open shifts through Microsoft Teams for additional hours in catering and the dining hall.
