Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience working with P&L concepts – revenue, cogs, gross profit margin, operating expenses and income.
• Knowledge of customer centric retailing principles and the analytics of customer purchase behavior.
• At least 2 years of experience developing programs in merchandising, vendor relations, and marketing in the retail business.
• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (e.g., SUM, charts, sorting, headers/footers, print scaling).
• Basic skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word for presentations and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, and recommends sales, gross profit level, inventory control, and merchandise turnover objectives.
• Develops merchandising, display, advertising, distribution, packaging and sales plans for assigned items.
• Negotiates buying contracts and reviews contracts with CM/DMM.
• Analyzes market, competitive, and customer data to inform pricing decisions.
• Reviews category performance and sets goals with DMM/CM.
• Collaborates with Store Experience and planning to build category insights for plans and promotions.
• Assists in projecting sales forecasts and gross profit for assigned categories.
