Job summary

Vylor, Inc. is recruiting a Procurement Category Manager (Technology) to develop and execute sourcing strategies for software, SaaS, hardware, and technology services from Indianapolis or Johnston. This hybrid role requires collaboration with stakeholders across regions to drive value, risk mitigation, and contract optimization.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in sourcing/procurement, strong negotiation and analytics skills, and familiarity with SAP/Ariba. Relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of sourcing, procurement, category management, supplier management, or related business experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the Technology Category with purchasing experience in Technology Services, Software, SaaS, Hardware, or Cloud Services.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for Software, SaaS, Hardware, and Technology Services categories that support business objectives.
  • Lead sourcing initiatives, including spend analysis, market research, supplier assessments, RFx processes, negotiations, contract execution, and implementation.
  • Partner with business, functional, and regional stakeholders to understand requirements and align sourcing plans with organizational priorities.
  • Deliver cost savings, supplier performance improvements, risk mitigation, contract optimization, and other value-creation initiatives.
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance through metrics, business reviews, issue resolution, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Monitor supplier markets, technology trends, licensing models, and commercial developments to inform sourcing decisions and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contracting standards, governance requirements, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and cross-functional teams to execute category strategies, sourcing initiatives, and process improvement efforts.

As a Category Manager (Technology) you will develop and execute sourcing strategies for software, Software as a Service(SaaS), hardware, and technology services.
