Category Manager - Plant Services - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Scheduled work from home days: This position will be required to come to the office three days per week and work from home two days per week.

The Category Manager - Plant Services is responsible for managing procurement activities across external vendors providing plant services and maintenance. The categories include contractors (electrical, mechanical, environmental, HVAC, etc.), civil & construction services, cleaning, waste management, janitorial services, and other plant services provided by external vendors.

The Category Manager - Plant Services is a key member of the Extrusion North America Procurement team. The individual will report directly to the Sr. Director - Non-Metal Procurement and collaborate with internal stakeholders, Plant Procurement teams, Business Units, and the VP Procurement Hydro Extrusions. The position is preferably based in Pittsburgh.

Required Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, plant operations, or related fields; 10+ years preferred.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and video conferencing tools.
• Experience with Should-Cost Modeling, Total Cost of Ownership, and ROI analysis preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills, capable of managing complex spreadsheets.
• Experience with business systems like Oracle, SAP preferred.
• Experience in a project management environment.
• Certifications such as CPSM, CPSD, or C.P.M. are preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

• Procure strategic services for all Extrusion North America manufacturing sites and corporate entities.
• Develop strategic approaches based on spend analysis, stakeholder input, supply market intelligence, and vendor knowledge.
• Lead negotiations and establish long-term vendor agreements.
• Benchmark prices and services, analyze cost structures to identify savings, and develop negotiation strategies.
• Lead strategic sourcing events to foster competitive environments.
• Create tools to support negotiations with local vendors.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop cost-reduction strategies, ensuring vendor compliance with project timelines, service levels, and HSE standards.
• Manage total cost of ownership, lead specification, demand, and process improvement initiatives.
• Establish multi-year contractual agreements with favorable terms.
• Drive vendor performance via Quarterly Business Reviews, KPIs, and Performance Improvement Plans.
• Review and optimize procurement processes across plants.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and applicable laws.
• Support procurement community development through mentorship, leadership, and training.
• Willingness to travel up to 35% as needed.
