Job summary

Cintas Corporation is seeking a Category Manager II to develop the sourcing strategy for internal customers and stakeholders. You will negotiate with suppliers, manage contracts, and drive cost savings through supplier performance reviews.

• Establish and negotiate contracts with suppliers defining service, quality, costing, etc.
• Regularly evaluate risks within categories and prioritize prospecting/resourcing efforts.
• Evaluate suppliers’ performance relative to current business needs and against other suppliers.
• Review spend categories and identify and achieve annual savings goals.

• Stay abreast of commodity prices that are significant drivers in the cost of products and the impact that commodity cost changes have on unit cost.
• Establish and negotiate contracts with suppliers that specifically define business requirements related to service, quality, costing, etc.
• Regularly evaluate potential risks within categories and verify that prospecting/resourcing efforts are appropriately prioritized.
• Evaluate suppliers’ performance relative to current business needs, and against other suppliers.
• Review spend categories and identify and achieve annual savings goals.

Skills/Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and intranet/internet

Preferred

• Bachelors degree
• 2+ years’ Supply Chain experience
• 5+ years’ sourcing/purchasing experience
