Marathon Petroleum Corporation in Findlay, Ohio is seeking a Category Management Director for Reliability and Mechanical Integrity Services. You will negotiate, support and administer Industrial Contractor Services agreements across the enterprise, developing sourcing strategies to improve efficiency, reliability and cost predictability.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze data (TCO and should-cost modeling) and manage KPI performance with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Four (4) or more years of Supply Chain or business relevant experience.

Position Summary

This position will report to the Category Management Director - Reliability and Mechanical Integrity Services. Responsibilities will include negotiation, day-to-day support and administration of Industrial Contractor Services agreement for the enterprise. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute sourcing strategies that enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and support heightened reliability & cost predictability across the enterprise. This individual will bring strong analytical and negotiation capabilities, a solid understanding of both TRACK and SAP Purchasing modules and processes and a customer-focused mindset. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to build productive, collaborative relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers. The candidate must be adept at managing multiple priorities and coordinating a diverse range of assignments in a dynamic environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages assigned categories to optimize the supply base and deliver maximum value to the Business.
• Identifies and executes value delivery (cost savings, cost avoidance, revenue enhancement) and risk reduction opportunities within assigned categories.
• Analyzes and interprets data for use in decision-making and actions in support of category strategy, including TCO and should cost modeling.
• Develops, implements, and manages category strategies with focus on the value proposition, commercial agreement execution and administration.
• Develops and manages strategic partnerships with internal and external Stakeholders; to include collaboration with Stakeholders to align on category strategies, understand the demand/spend profile of risks and Business requirements.
• Develops and manages KPIs for measuring performance for key Suppliers. Facilitate issue resolution related to Supplier performance.
• Leads utilization and performance assessments to confirm strategies are effective and strategic Suppliers are meeting and exceeding expectations.
• Identifies and leads strategic sourcing projects within assigned categories, analyze business objectives, develop project plan and charter, lead and/or facilitate cross functional teams to ensure milestones are met, track project progress and monitor performance against plan, facilitate meetings, prepare reports and presentations to communicate status.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to understand the demand/spend profile of assigned category and sub- categories. Responsible for the strategy development to mitigate risks and to ensure best in class support for our ongoing business requirements.
• Mentors Category Analyst to ensure all aspects of the category strategy are being executed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Four (4) or more years of Supply Chain or business relevant experience.
