Position Summary: Lead sourcing strategies for private-label and contract-manufactured chemical products in the USA and internationally within the construction industry. Responsibilities include aligning sourcing strategies, managing contract manufacturers, negotiating agreements, and ensuring product quality and supply reliability. Ideal candidates have a background in contract manufacturing, supplier management, and market intelligence in construction chemicals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage Private-Label Vendors (40%): Develop sourcing strategies, lead negotiations, onboard new vendors, ensure compliance, analyze market trends.
  2. Manage Chemical Contract Manufacturers (40%): Collaborate with R&D, select and benchmark manufacturers, negotiate pricing, explore new manufacturers, support international formulations.
  3. General Sourcing & Supply Management (20%): Build supplier relationships, drive cost reductions, track savings and KPIs, support cross-functional teams, conduct spend analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years in sourcing, procurement, or category management in chemicals or related industries
  • Strong negotiation, supplier management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of chemical formulations, production, and regulations in construction industry
  • Experience with RFIs, RFQs, contract negotiations, risk mitigation
  • Excellent communication and project management skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Travel availability of 25-30%
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, push/pull 25 pounds, stand and sit as required
