Job description

Leads the development and execution of holistic, enterprise-wide category management strategies, including strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, diversity, and risk management initiatives. Develops, executes, and manages sourcing strategies using the company's sourcing methodology.

Essential Functions
  1. Responsible for strategic functions including: evaluation of category/spend information, benchmarking, and making recommendations for sourcing strategy and supplier scorecard criteria.
  2. Develops category expertise, category management expertise, and market contacts, working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders in all aspects of sourcing.
  3. Leads internal projects/programs.
  4. Participates in supplier negotiations, supporting senior staff and leadership.
  5. Acts with authority with suppliers, business stakeholders, Finance, and Legal.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in supply chain, business, finance, mathematics, or other quantitative discipline.

Minimum Experience

Minimum five (5) years of work experience in sourcing, financial analysis, or related field; a related advanced degree may offset the experience requirement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent knowledge of project management, current technology tools/advances, and database/analytical tools. Good interpersonal skills. Strong written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience and knowledge with Railroads.

Pay Transparency

This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. Actual starting pay will be determined by experience, market level, location, and other factors. Employees may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonuses. The company offers health, vision, dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay

U.S. Pay Range: $6,511.62/month - $9,081.99/month.

Additional Details

Remote work will be considered based on business need.
