CREO Group, a leading consumer product and nursery supplier, is hiring a Category & Channel Analyst in Troy, MI. The hybrid role focuses on reporting, data normalization, and Salsify administration to support Sales and Category Management with robust BI tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial reporting or analytics supporting sales, category management, retail, or related teams.
• Strong hands-on Power BI report development and visualization skills; advanced Excel incl. PivotTables, lookup and conditional formulas, Power Query.
• Experience cleaning, transforming, and combining inconsistent data files into repeatable reporting processes.
• Excellent listening and requirements discovery skills, translating needs into useful solutions.
• Understanding of revenue, units, gross margin, pricing, and product mix with attention to data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Understand business needs. Translate requests into practical solutions using early prototypes and provide helpful context.
• Support Sales and Category Management by developing reporting on shipments, POS, revenue, margin, pricing, promotions, and product mix.
• Build effective reporting with Power BI and Excel, creating clear charts, tables, filters and drilldowns.
• Normalize retailer POS data by ingesting varied retailer Excel files and mapping items to CREO products for reporting.
• Own Salsify administration: maintain attributes, hierarchies, and integrations; coordinate data quality with IT and data owners.
• Advance data capabilities by identifying gaps and validating delivered functionality.
• Improve adoption and reliability by reconciling outputs and documenting definitions.
