Job Title: Buyer - Marine Supply Chain & Category Management

We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join our Marine Supply Chain & Category Management team in Mumbai. This role offers an opportunity to work with procurement professionals, gaining extensive understanding of the A.P. Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage end-to-end demand to delivery processes for Maersk Line vessels.
  2. Conduct RFQ processes with non-contracted suppliers for optimal deliveries.
  3. Follow Procure to Pay procedures for timely payments and handle invoice discrepancies.
  4. Engage in stakeholder management with technical teams, addressing concerns promptly.
  5. Optimize vessel budgets and participate in negotiations and Supplier Performance Management.
  6. Forecast demand and allocate volumes based on annual spend data.
  7. Adhere to the 4R Principles: Right price, Right place, Right time, Right quantity.
  8. Follow Maersk's carbon-neutral initiatives to minimize supply chain emissions.
  9. Collaborate with Master Data teams to ensure data quality and catalogue coverage at key ports.
  10. Contribute to developing new supplier relationships based on delivery experience.
  11. Maintain a sense of urgency in addressing stakeholder issues.
Candidate Profile
  • Minimum bachelor's degree with a procurement background; experience in Shipping/O&G is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in supply chain roles from reputed organizations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and rapport-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of logistics, vessel operations, customs regulations.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently with attention to detail.
  • Values diversity and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
