Job summary

JLG Industries is seeking a Category Associate to support supply chain category management and new product development. You will gather and manipulate spend and commodity data to support sourcing strategies and begin to understand how categories are organized and relate to the business.

The role includes working with the engineering team to learn technical drawings, developing supplier relationships, tracking market trends, and building project management skills to support execution.

Qualifications

The Category Associate role is an entry level support position for the supply chain category management and new product development functions. This role supports the organization by gathering and manipulating spend and commodity data, in support of sourcing strategies and category management. The Category Associate conducts research and begins to understand how categories are internally organized and relate to the business.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to travel 10-20%.

• Category sourcing experience within the manufacturing industry.
• Ability to effectively communicate.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• This role is primarily performed in a professional office environment with standard lighting, ventilation, and temperature-controlled settings.
• Duties are largely sedentary, requiring extended periods of sitting and using a computer and telephone.
• Visual acuity to operate a computer and read documents is required, along with auditory ability to participate in virtual and in-person meetings.
• Occasional movement within the office environment is necessary, including walking short distances, standing, or reaching for files.

Pay Range

$57,600.00 - $90,400.00. The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
