Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Category Support Specialist to support Merchandising Services and Sysco Operating Companies with category tasks, pricing, and analytics that drive Sysco’s sales and financial goals.

This is a hybrid role with on-site presence 3–4 days per week. The candidate will lead supplier set-up, price changes, data reports, and cross-functional collaboration to resolve issues and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associates or bachelors degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and Sysco merchandising, pricing and/or customer service experience.
• Mid-level Microsoft Excel skills including Vlookup, pivot tables, filtering and sorting.

Responsibilities

• Lead set up of new suppliers, ship points and SKUs per guidance of category leadership, communicating with cross-functional teams.
• Head de-activation of SKUs and ship points per guidance, communicating with cross-functional teams.
• Direct supplier follow-ups of monthly delinquent earned income.
• Communicate updates and escalate issues to Senior Director and category leadership.
• Facilitate product cuttings by running reports, ordering samples, logging in, and coordinating evaluation logistics.
• Participate in Corporate Multi-Unit (CMU) customer presentations through sample ordering and setup.
• Serve as first line of support for OpCo and supplier questions or issue resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams when action is necessary; assist with continuous improvement tasks.
