Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a catch machine operator to work in contract grower houses, adhering to animal welfare guidelines and USDA regulations. You will inspect and set up equipment, operate controls, run and monitor the catch machine to meet production needs.

The role requires 6 months of on-the-job training or experience, ability to work in a fast-paced team, and willingness to wear PPE in hot, dusty environments. Training and safety certifications including PIT certification are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 6 months of on-the-job machine operation experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and in a team.
• Must follow safety procedures, animal welfare standards and biosecurity rules.

Responsibilities

• Install and align tooling and set program parameters before production starts.
• Run the machine according to work orders and monitor performance.
• Inspect inputs and outputs to maintain quality and safety.
• Perform routine checks, cleaning, calibration and minor repairs.
• Identify and resolve defects; respond to alarms and notify maintenance.
