*This range represents a national range and the actual salary will depend on several factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the skills, education, training, credentials, location, and experience of an applicant, as well as level of role for which the successful candidate is hired. Position may be eligible for an annual bonus payment.

Exercises independent discretion or judgment in handling all types of catastrophe property claims. Also assists assigned field office when not on catastrophe deployment in handling day-to-day property claims.
Establish contact with Policyholders regarding their loss, including driving to the site of damage within the assigned territory or other locations if required.
Set and manage reserves within designated authority.
Identify and assess damages, determine liability, and total claim value.
Prepare estimates, obtain scope of work and repair costs with contractors or Policyholders.
Document all activities and submit final reports for claim closure.
Determine or decline payments, issue checks, and negotiate claims with attorneys when necessary.
Supervise independent adjusters handling property losses and advise claims adjusters.
Attend industry training to stay current on legal developments and compliance.
Assist field offices when not on Catastrophe Duty and bring claims to conclusion.
Maintain the Sprinter Van used for operations.

High school diploma or equivalent; five years claims handling experience including two years property claims; strong knowledge of damage repair and valuation techniques; preferred completion of AIC program; proficiency with estimating software (preferably Symbility); valid driver's license and good driving record; willingness to travel extensively.
Lifting/moving 0-20 lbs frequently; 20-50 lbs frequently; over 50 lbs with equipment; frequent driving; occasional manual data entry; climbing heights.
