Job summary

Verisk's Catastrophe and Risk Solutions (CRS) team in Boston, MA, seeks a Risk Consultant or Risk Analyst to build client relationships and optimize catastrophe modeling workflows using Touchstone, TouchstoneRe, and Synergy Studio.

You will lead client projects, analyze data, and provide recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders, managing timelines and deliverables with precise communication and attention to quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree including quantitative courses such as mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, business or computer science.
• Two or more years’ experience in catastrophe modeling or actuarial support preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; Power Query or Power BI preferred.
• Experience with SQL Server Management Studio or other database tools; AI tools like Claude or Copilot preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of risk analyses in support of consulting projects and internal initiatives
• Respond to client questions in a timely manner and help bring them to a speedy and accurate resolution by working collaboratively with our internal teams
• Communicate directly with clients to develop project timelines and manage deliverable expectations
• Employ project management best practices when performing consulting studies and other mid- to large-scale projects
• Support model and product change management efforts when model updates or new features are introduced in our software
• Provide input to internal teams regarding the evolution of our products based on client feedback and your usage of our products. Remain engaged with the internal teams through feature design, development and release
• Act as a connector across the CRS vertical and with other groups within Verisk, sharing context, surfacing cross-team needs, and helping align work across groups
