Summary/Job Purpose

Manage collection, analysis, administration, and quality control of the company’s property data for first-party lines of business. Support analysis and quality control efforts for property aggregations and PML calculations. Handle portfolio-level activities for MSMM, including report generation and collaboration with AIR for data files and portfolio analysis. Complete analysis related to portfolio profitability and trends.

Essential Functions
  1. Handle portfolio activities for MSMM, including report generation and collaboration with AIR.
  2. Conduct real-time event modeling using Alert and AIR’s Geospatial Module.
  3. Create ad hoc reports on aggregation risk, departmental profiles, and return period numbers.
  4. Manage catastrophe control protocols and assist management with treaty placement by analyzing exposures and losses.
  5. Identify and track aggregate catastrophic exposures to prevent undue loss potential.
  6. Maintain and review property catastrophe data quality through regular file reviews and checklists.
  7. Monitor underwriting data and collaborate with IT and underwriting management for analysis.
  8. Support field underwriters in catastrophe modeling issues.
  9. Preen quarterly PML and portfolio reviews for senior management.
  10. Work with vendors, underwriting, reinsurance, and management to develop best practices for data quality.
  11. Assist in creating and delivering internal/external training on catastrophe management.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Manage a team of 2-3 Catastrophe Modeling staff.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency with AIR Catastrophe Modeling, Touchstone, Alert, Geospatial Module, etc.
  • CEEM certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and UM.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.
