Job summary

Catalyst Handling Resources in Griffith, IN is seeking a Catalyst Technician 3 to perform tasks under supervision on catalyst projects. You will support field operations and learn the catalyst change-out processes for fixed bed reactors, tubular reactors or reformers.

Under supervision, you will assist the project team with duties such as manning dump nozzles, screening, rolling drums, labeling bags, and housekeeping.

Role Overview

The role of the Catalyst Technician 3 is to execute tasks under supervision at catalyst projects.

Responsibilities

• Entry level CHR field operations, no or little experience
• Ability to learn the key aspects of catalyst change-out processes for fixed bed reactor, tubular reactors or reformers
• Under supervision, assist the catalyst handling project team with manning dump nozzles, screening activities, rolling drums, labelling bags and bins, housekeeping
• Under strict supervision safely and correctly remove catalyst from single bed reactors in normal atmosphere. Can remove catalyst from tubular reactors or reformers in normal atmosphere
• Attend and pass required training and certification programs

Qualifications

• Pass drug testing
• TWIC-card
• Good background score to be able to enter all client facilities
• Confined space entry certification
• Plant required course and certifications
• Respirator fit test

Desired

• Current valid driver license
• Forklift certificate
• Bolt-up/Torqueing basic (HSCA)
• DOT Physical
• Fit for work / physically able to fit through 20' manways and work inside confined space for a sustainable period of time in protective clothing and helmet
