Job summary

Transdev is seeking an experienced shuttle driver to join our Lansing, Michigan team. You will ensure safe and comfortable transportation for passengers, upholding high standards of professionalism and customer service.

We offer a competitive hourly wage of $21.20/hour plus benefits. The role is subject to a Collective Bargaining Agreement and requires DOT compliance and pre-employment screening. Average shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, and overnights.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Valid CDL Class A or B with passenger and airbrake endorsement.
  • Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Availability to work day, evening, weekend and overnight shifts.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical; DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis.

Responsibilities

  • Safety-focused operations: follow designated routes and schedules with strict safety protocols and traffic regulations.
  • Passenger care: assist passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation.
  • Vehicle vigilance: perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report maintenance issues, ensure cleanliness and safety equipment readiness.
  • Adherence to protocols: enforce seat belts, emergency readiness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Other duties as required.

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced shuttle driver to join our elite team in Lansing, Michigan . As a key member, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety-Focused Operations: Execute flawless operations by meticulously following designated routes and schedules, while adhering to stringent safety protocols and traffic regulations.
  • Passenger Care: Exhibit exceptional care and assistance towards passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation for all.
  • Vehicle Vigilance: Champion vehicle safety through comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections, promptly reporting any maintenance issues, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety equipment readiness.
  • Adherence to Protocols: Uphold company policies and procedures rigorously, encompassing seat belt enforcement, emergency response preparedness, and compliance with regulatory mandates.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.

  • Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
