Cook County’s John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital seeks a CAT Technologist to perform CT scan examinations for in-patients and out-patients, ensuring high quality images while following radiation safety and infection control protocols.
The role requires ARRT CT certification, a two-year radiologic technology program, IEMA license, BLS, and the ability to operate Cerner and PACS. Shift is 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.; pay in the range $44.377–$53.518 hourly, with experience-based placement.

Under the general direction of a Radiologist or a Physician, the CAT Technologist performs CAT Scan examinations on in-patients and out-patients; Processes and critiques radiographic images, produce scans, monitors the CAT Scanner and performs other job-related duties as assigned. Practices infection control and adheres to radiation safety measures.
This position is functioning within a healthcare environment. The incumbent is responsible for adherence to all hospital and department specific safety requirements.This includes but is not limited to the following policies and procedures:complying with Personal Protective Equipment requirements, hand washing and sanitizing practices, complying with department specific engineering and work practice controls and any other work area safety precautions as specified by hospital wide policy and departmental procedures.
