Job Summary:

Performs various CT scans and assists Radiologists during invasive procedures for diagnostic purposes. This job description provides a summary of the major duties and responsibilities of this position and is not a detailed list of all work requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist Radiologists during all aspects of invasive procedures and perform CT scan examinations as directed.
2. Communicate clinical observations during CT scans to Radiologists and present clinical history as recorded.
3. Demonstrate competency in RIS/HIS modules relevant to the role.
4. Inject contrast for CT scans following department policies, completing patient questionnaires prior to exams.
5. Perform 3-D imaging functions.
6. Provide educational information to patients regarding their examinations.
7. Maintain professional development through participation in inservices and continuing education.
8. Be knowledgeable about patient conditions, history, and relevant background information for examinations.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

Frequent use of hands and fingers for equipment operation and charting. Sitting for up to 5 hours in 30-minute increments. Standing and walking for up to 3 hours in 15-minute increments. Pushing, pulling, and lifting patients up to 300 pounds with assistance. Occasional stooping, lifting, and raising arms above shoulder level. Lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds. Hearing for normal conversation. Seeing for normal vision.
