Overview:

Sentara Obici Hospital, located in Suffolk, Virginia is hiring a part time weekend day shift CAT Scan Technologist.

In your role, you will:

• Perform Computed Tomography (CT) and CT guided interventional procedures under the direction of a qualified physician and adherence to the required protocol standards.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Operate equipment safely.
• Complete department documentation.
• Maintain all equipment to be clean and operational.
• Maintain an adequate supply of inventory for performing examinations.
• Follow radiation safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Administration of CT Contrast per protocol.

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

Our department is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and is an integral part of our stroke team. We conduct an average of 100 scans per day. We offer opportunities to cross train to other modalities through our Pulse Radiology Course that is part of our Tuition Assistance program.

Position Available

• Part Time Weekend Day shift . These are 10-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays; 9am - 7pm. Work hours can be flexible within day shift parameter.
• 20 hours

Experience

• New graduates may be considered.

Education

• Trade School Graduate of a Radiologic Technology Program

Certification/Licensure

• Must obtain ARRT (CT) advanced registry within two (2) years of hire.
• The following licenses/certifications may be considered: ARRT Radiation Therapy (T), ARRT Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R), Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
• BLS through American Heart Association
